🔒 Verify the Authenticity of a Certified Press Release (.tsr Viewer)

Confirm integrity and legal validity of press releases with our RFC 3161 timestamp verifier. Client-side processing • SHA-256 hash match • eIDAS-grade proof of existence

Use the official .tsr (TimeStamp Response) file delivered with each certified press release to verify authenticity. Processing happens locally in your browser — no files are uploaded to our servers.

✅ What the Verification Confirms

🔐 SHA-256 Integrity Exact match between the document hash and the hash sealed inside the .tsr file.
🕐 RFC 3161 Timestamp Trusted time evidence proving the press release existed at a specific date and time (eIDAS-compliant if selected).
📄 JSON Evidence Machine-readable technical details (hash, timestamp, TSA signature) for audit and chain of custody.
🛡️ Privacy by Design Verification runs client-side. Nothing leaves your browser.
📖 Court-Ready Evidence aligned with eIDAS and digital forensics best practices, suitable for independent checks.

ℹ️ What is a .tsr file?
A .tsr (TimeStamp Response) is the official receipt issued by a trusted timestamp authority (TSA). It includes the timestamp, the SHA-256 hash of the content, and the TSA digital signature. When the hash in the .tsr matches your document’s hash, integrity is proven; the valid timestamp proves existence at that time.
🛠️ How the verification works

Steps

  • Open the verifier: tsr-viewer.certifiedpressreleases.com
  • Upload the .tsr file received with the certified press release (max 10 KB).
  • (Optional) Paste the document’s SHA-256 hash to compare, or calculate it locally.
  • Click Verify and check for HASH MATCH and a valid timestamp.

How to compute SHA-256 locally

  • macOS / Linux: sha256sum file.pdf
  • Windows: certutil -hashfile file.pdf SHA256
🛡️ Privacy & Security
The verifier is hosted on a hardened subdomain and designed for client-side processing. Files and hashes do not leave your browser. You may also download a JSON with technical details (timestamp, hash, TSA info) to preserve your chain of custody.

Disclaimer: if any discrepancy arises between a web transcription and the certified PDF, the digitally signed PDF remains the only legally valid reference.
