Terms of Use & Content Responsibilities

1) What CPR Is (and Is Not)

• Purpose. CPR is a platform for publishing press releases and related corporate communications. Optionally, content can be digitally certified via our partner ContentProtector.eu (eIDAS-compatible timestamp, SHA-256 hash, and public verification).
• Neutral hosting platform. CPR is not a news agency, publisher, fact-checker, financial advisor, or legal counsel. We act as a neutral hosting platform and do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or truthfulness of any press release or user-generated content.
• Editorial review. Submissions may be reviewed for format compliance, technical requirements, and adherence to these Terms, but approval does not constitute endorsement, verification, or legal advice.
• No editorial responsibility. We do not create, edit, or control the content of press releases beyond formatting and technical processing.

2) Digital Certification & “Legal Evidence”

• Certification services are provided through ContentProtector.eu using eIDAS-compliant timestamping technology.
• Certification attests to the existence, integrity, and timestamp of a document at a specific date/time. It does NOT certify, verify, or validate the truthfulness, accuracy, legality, or authenticity of the statements, claims, products, services, or facts contained within.
• Legal value: Certificates have legal evidential value under EU eIDAS regulation but do not constitute legal advice or guarantees.
• CPR displays a “LEGAL EVIDENCE” section with downloadable certificates. You must download and retain certificates for your records as CPR cannot guarantee permanent availability of external certificate links.

3) Publication Model & Versioning

• Immutable publication. Once published, the original version remains permanently accessible and cannot be silently modified.
• Version control. Updates, corrections, or amendments are published as new versions and clearly linked to the original publication.
• Editorial annotations. We may add editorial notes for material corrections, legal compliance, takedown notices, or clarifications.
• Permanent archival. Published content becomes part of the permanent public record and cannot be completely removed except in exceptional legal circumstances.

4) Publisher Content Responsibility & Warranties

4.1 Legal Compliance

• Your content complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in your jurisdiction and internationally.
• Content is lawful, accurate, and non-deceptive to the best of your knowledge and belief.
• Financial, medical, scientific, or performance claims are properly substantiated and include all required disclaimers.
• You comply with advertising standards, consumer protection laws, and securities regulations applicable to your content.

4.2 Intellectual Property Rights

• You own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for all content, images, trademarks, and media uploaded.
• Content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity, or other proprietary rights.
• Third-party materials are properly attributed and used within fair use or with explicit permission.

4.3 Authority & Authentication

• You have full authority to publish on behalf of any organization, company, or individual mentioned in the release.
• Company information, contact details, and business relationships are accurate and current.
• You will not impersonate others or falsely represent affiliations.

4.4 Indemnification

5) Strictly Prohibited Content

5.1 Illegal Content

• Content that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Defamatory, libelous, or harassing material
• Threats, incitement to violence, or promotion of illegal activities
• Content that infringes intellectual property rights

5.2 Deceptive Practices

• False, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Fake company information or impersonation
• Pump-and-dump schemes or market manipulation
• Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing without proper disclosure
• Undisclosed paid promotions or sponsored content

5.3 Privacy Violations

• Personal data published without consent or legal basis (GDPR violations)
• Private communications or confidential information
• Content that violates privacy or publicity rights

5.4 Harmful Content

• Adult content, sexual material, or inappropriate imagery
• Discriminatory content based on race, religion, gender, etc.
• Malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Spam, duplicate submissions, or manipulation attempts

6) Notice & Takedown Procedures

6.1 Reporting Violations

• Specific URL(s) and content identification
• Detailed description of the violation or infringement
• Evidence supporting your claim (screenshots, documentation)
• Your contact information and statement of good faith belief
• For copyright claims: proof of ownership or authorization

6.2 Response Process

• We will acknowledge receipt within 48 hours
• Content may be temporarily restricted pending investigation
• Publishers will be notified and given opportunity to respond
• Clear violations will result in immediate removal
• Repeat violators face account suspension or termination

7) Platform License & Content Usage

• Store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content
• Create thumbnails, previews, and search indexes
• Archive content for historical preservation
• Promote the platform using excerpts or summaries

8) Platform Management & Moderation

• Content moderation: We reserve the right to review, restrict, label, or remove content that violates these Terms
• Account management: We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations or misuse
• Technical modifications: We may make technical changes for security, performance, or legal compliance
• Service modifications: Features and services may be updated, modified, or discontinued with reasonable notice

9) Service Availability & Technical Limitations

• CPR is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind
• Service availability depends on hosting, CDN, certification partners, and third-party services
• Scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs may cause temporary unavailability
• We do not guarantee 100% uptime but will make reasonable efforts to maintain service
• No liability for losses due to service interruptions

10) Pricing & Payment Terms

• Paid service: All CPR services (publication, certification, premium features) are subject to fees
• Current pricing is displayed on our website and may be updated with 30 days notice
• Non-refundable: Fees are non-refundable once processing begins
• Payment processing: Payments are processed by third-party providers subject to their terms
• Disputes: Payment disputes must be reported within 60 days

11) Data Protection & Privacy

• Publisher responsibility: You must have lawful basis for any personal data included in press releases
• GDPR compliance: Personal data must be processed according to GDPR and applicable privacy laws
• Data controller roles: You are data controller for content you publish; CPR is data controller for platform operations

12) Intellectual Property & Trademarks

• Third-party marks: Brand names, logos, and trademarks mentioned in releases remain property of their owners
• Fair use: Use of trademarks in press releases must comply with fair use and trademark law
• CPR branding: Our name, logo, and branding may not be used without written authorization
• Copyright notice: All original CPR content is protected by copyright

13) Updates to Terms of Use

• We may update these Terms to reflect legal changes, new features, or operational requirements
• Notice period: Material changes will be announced 30 days in advance via website notice and email
• Acceptance: Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of updated Terms
• Rejection: If you disagree with changes, you must discontinue using the service

14) User Eligibility & Authority

• Age requirement: Users must be 18+ or have parental/guardian consent
• Business authority: Corporate users must have authority to bind their organization
• Capacity: Users must have legal capacity to enter binding agreements
• Prohibited users: Individuals or entities previously banned or engaging in prohibited activities

15) Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

15.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

• CPR makes no warranties about service reliability, content accuracy, or fitness for purpose
• We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and non-infringement
• Use of the service is at your own risk

15.2 Limitation of Liability

• CPR shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to amounts paid by you in the 12 months preceding any claim
• We are not liable for third-party content, actions, or claims
• Time limitation: Claims must be brought within one year of the cause of action

16) Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

• Governing law: These Terms are governed by Italian law
• Jurisdiction: Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the Court of Bologna, Italy
• Consumer rights: Mandatory consumer protection laws remain unaffected
• Mediation: We encourage good-faith dispute resolution before litigation
